Et voilà, nous sommes maintenant au Canada. Là ou les forets s’enflamment des teintes automnales.

Mais petit retour en arrière, au day 1A, le 16 septembre dernier nous quittions Romans, familles et amis pour Troyes, première halte du périple, chez Nath. Un week-end première classe chez une amie qui ne l’est pas moins, dans une ville qui l’est tout autant.

Nous avons déposé RV le ch’ti au port le 20 septembre pour un embarquement le 5 octobre. Initialement prévu le 5 septembre dernier l’embarquement fut reporté au 15, puis au 29, puis au 2, puis au 6, puis au 5, puis au 10…

Bref à l’heure ou j’écris ces lignes on ne sait toujours pas vraiment quand il va partir et ipsofacto quand il arrivera. enfin Bref, on abandonne le gros, et on quitte le port en stop puis en train pour BX.

pour rejoindre Halifax puis Earltown et nos amis Patty et Andrew, qui, ne reculant devant rien, nous accueillent avec un Hurricane qui rigole pas. Si nous avons malgré tout bien dormi certains arbres ne s’en sont pas relevés. Je ne partage pas d’image démoralisante de la dévastation mais vous pouvez trouver cela sur le net (Nova Scotia + Hurricane)

L’absence d’électricité et, par voie de conséquence, de connexion internet fut vite oubliée par quelques ballades, de magnifiques repas et une reprise en douceur des programmes scolaires.

Après plus d’une semaine passée avec eux nous prenons la route direction Québec en mode voiture de loc/hôtels/resto. 

The lack of electricity and, consequently, of internet connection was quickly forgotten by a few walks, magnificent meals and a smooth resumption of school programs.

After more than a week spent with them, we take the road towards Quebec in rental car/hotel/restaurant mode.
